Intellectual Disabilities Services

Intellectual disabilities originate before the age of 18 and refer to a group of disorders characterized by a limited mental capacity and difficulty with adaptive behaviors such as managing money, schedules, routines, or social interactions. They may result from physical causes, such as autism or cerebral palsy, or nonphysical causes such as lack of stimulation and adult responsiveness.[1]

StarCare Specialty Health System believes people living with intellectual disabilities can lead their lives how they want to. As both a provider and coordinator of intellectual disabilities services, StarCare works with the individual and their support group(s) to achieve their goals. From day habilitation services, to in-home, group home and host home services, StarCare helps people achieve their full potential where they want to live.
